Nowgen and National Genetics Reference Laboratory run Bioinformatics course

Nowgen and the National Genetics Reference Laboratories in Manchester and Wessex delivered another successful bioinformatics course for Cytogeneticists and Molecular Geneticists.

The two day interactive workshop was specifically at trainee staff who wished to update their awareness and practical experience of bioinformatics tools and resources in light of the increasing use of computers in the molecular and cytogenetics laboratory

Course instructors were specialists from the National Genetics Reference Laboratories in Manchester and Wessex.

Nowgen organised and developed the course the NGRL and the course took place in The Nowgen Centre.

Within the Nowgen Centre, Nowgen runs a comprehensive programme of training courses primarily for health professionals and researchers across the UK and increasingly from overseas. Year on year our reputation has grown for delivering first class training with eminent tutors and speakers. We pride ourselves on developing course curricula based on evaluation of the genetics education needs of a variety of health professionals.
