Fatiha Shabaruddin is a PhD student working on the economic evaluation of a pharmacogenetic test for irinotecan, a chemotherapeutic drug used in the treatment of colorectal cancer.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) from the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2005 and became a qualified pharmacist a year later after pre-registration training.
Fatiha then worked as a hospital pharmacist in a tertiary referral hospital in Kuala Lumpur before joining the Nowgen Centre in 2007.
