Nowgen runs a comprehensive programme of workshops and training courses on human genetics and related subjects.
These courses are run for health professionals, members of the clinical genetics community, and non-specialist audiences, such as teachers.
We continually assess the need for new courses, so please contact either Kate Mathieson or Mark Leech with potential ideas.
Click here for information on current courses.

Courses are accredited by the Royal College of Pathologists and the Royal College of Physicians, or other professional body, as appropriate.

Several of these courses will run again in 2008/2009; please return to this site for notification of future dates.

The first Genetic Counselling MSc in Europe was started in Manchester and continues to be one of the most highly rated courses of its type in the EU. The two-year course is run by the Academic Unit of Medical Genetics at The University of Manchester. The majority of the teaching is delivered at The Nowgen Centre, with several Nowgen staff contributing to the course. For more information on the MSc course, click here.
