Ruth Fullam

Ruth joined Nowgen in October, 2007 as the study coordinator and cogntive assessor for both the REGISTRY project and PREDICT. REGISTRY is a Europe-wide project that aims to collect and maintain a large longitudinal database of measures of Huntington’s disease, both as a research tool and to facilitate the recruitment of patients to novel intervention studies. PREDICT in comparison examines the fine cognitive, psychaitric and motor changes observed in Huntington’s disease patients who are yet to develop the pathological symptoms associated with the disorder. The major aims of this study are to identify early markers of the onset of symptoms so that appropriate interventions are supplied as early as possible.

Prior to joining Nowgen, Ruth was employed at The University of Manchester on studies of fibromyalgia, a syndrome of chronic widespread pain, associated with psychological distress.
